Owning and operating a 100+ year old guest house has its ups and downs. The “ups” are meeting and greeting guests, and spending time with some terrific people. The “downs” are the harsh Adirondack winters, during which this ol’ house really takes a beating!
Here’s one of those “behind-the-scenes” things that keeps us busy at Baker Street House. It may not look like much — and we don’t rent it out (LOL). But this new attic and roof are really making a difference in our day-to-day life here in Schroon Lake; our kitchen and laundry are free from leaks. And that means fresh breakfast every day, and fresh linens for every stay!
