Hard to believe it’s nearly the end of August! Summer ends with a bang here in Schroon Lake, first up is the big flea market on Saturday. That’s held downtown in the park by the public beach, and it’s a lot of fun. Later Saturday is the street fair concert, followed by fireworks over the beach — we hope to see you there!
It’s been a month since we officially opened Baker Street House for overnight lodging, and the experience has been fantastic! We hope that our guests have enjoyed it as much as we have. Some nights are still available in August, plus a few select weekends through the Fall. Our calendar is always up to date on AirB’n’B, which is a terrific service and easy to use. We also encourage you to call or send an email if you have any questions.
For our first month, we say a sincere “thank you” to everyone who has worked so hard to make this dream a reality!

We’re pleased to announce that we’re now accepting reservations online via the very popular AirBnB website/app!
It’s fast and convenient — if you’re ID registered with AirBnB, you are pre-approved to book reservations at Baker Street House instantaneously. The advantage to that is you can be 100% certain of getting exactly what you want, and payments go through their secure site.
To find Baker Street House, just do an AirBnB search on Schroon Lake NY; we’ll be in the results if we have vacancy.
If you aren’t quite on board with these modern “apps,” no problem…Deb and Tony will always be happy to help you with reservations over the phone or via e-mail. The difference is that AirBnB prices have the 8% New York lodging tax built in, and they add the 3% County tax later. They also add a “service fee” which sometimes varies — and we have no control over that. The rates listed here on our website are “net” and the taxes are quoted separately.
The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce and Town of Schroon are excited to present the 64th Annual 4th of July Celebrations! Events are happening through out the village ALL DAY LONG — July 4, 2018!
